I really need help. 10 week old pup keeps biting my fingers, clothing etc. I have tried redirecting her to a chew toy. I have yelped but it hardly even startles her. I have used bitter spray and she likes it and have held her little mouth shut for just a second and said no. Nothing works. Should I close her up in a small bathroom for a short time out or is that too cruel? Please advise!
1st make a noise can. Put some rocks or pennys in a soda can and tape it shut. 2nd our vet told us to use a short word such as "AT" because you can make that word harsh when saying it and it is not a word you use on a regular basis such as "no". Think about it, how many times do you use "no" on a regular basis when not talking to a puppy. It won't happen over night and just be consistant with the same command and yes keep putting a chew toy in the pups mouth. We have had our puppy for a little over a month now and he still bites but we use the noise can and the "AT" command. Good Luck.
