Hi All We are new to the site and have come here in the hope of getting advice from the best source - people with experience of the breed. We have a male staffie coming up to three years old. We got him as a pup that wasn't wanted as a Christmas present. Not prepared to see any animal mistreated we had to take him. We were told he was a "king staff" which we have since found out is not a recognised breed and may well be another way to describe a group of dogs in the dangerous dogs category. Our fella is a shinning example of just how good the breed can be. Never shown any aggression, happy, well balanced, playfull and loyal - he only wants to please. Our concern is he is still growing, now nearly 30kg, tall and muscular with quite a square face. He is obviously not full staff. We are wondering how we can find his origins and breed? Also - is there anything we need to do to protect both him and ourselves legally? Any advice or direction would be gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
