I recently had my 5 year old Belgian tested for a multitude of things due to an ear infection that just would not go away. She is allergic to Orchard grass, redtop grass, ryegrass, pigweed/careless weed, lamb's quarters, english plantain, saltbush/scale mix,(grasses) cottonwood/aspen, juniper/cedar, elm, walnut (trees), aspergillus, pennicillium, curcularia, pullularia, phom(fungi); cat hair, mixed feathers, beef, pork, venison, wheat, lamb, flax, kelp, green peas, wool, kapok, pyrethrum, cockroach, house fly,and staph. These are the worst ones. I am at a loss as to what to do for her. Her main problem area are her ears. There is a constant blackish discharge that I keep cleaning out, but the vet says there is no infection. She scratches at them and shakes her head. I feel so bad because I think it has affected her hearing as well. If anyone else has had these problems, I would appreciate the advice. I already spoke with the breeder who told me that this particular litter has had a number of health problems, that did show up in either of the parents or the parents siblings. My Belgian has the allergies but a number of her siblings have seizures.
