I never would have thought I had the strength to say good-bye to my soulmate Zoey. We had been together for 14 years. She followed me faithfully through marriage, two moves and shared me with her sisters molly and maggie. I knew it was time for her to leave us and after months of struggling, made that decision to say goodbye. She was wonderful at letting me know exactly what she needed. My biggest fear is never being able to have such a close connection with another furry friend which is why I told Zoey it was her job to look for someone for me when the time comes to let another furry friend into my heart. The house is so quiet and lonely without her. I was so lucky to have her with me for as long as I did.
