My Lola
She always wanted to be free
did not believe she had a home
as much as I tried to keep her
she always wanted to roam
a car hit her a few weeks ago
I still cannot cry
my little girl who jumped fences
and was so alive and then just died
this poem is so corny and dumb
because in my heart I feel so numb
I cannot believe you are gone
Lola, if I did anything wrong
I am so sorry I miss you so
I remember when I picked you up a long time ago
the other doggies miss you too
Lola, we weep for you
I love you
