I'm so sorry, boy, I let you down big time. I should have asked the Vet Dr. more questions before consenting to your surgery. I know 20/20 is hindsight but I take full responbility and forever live with the guilt. I ache and I cry as I write this tribute for you. You gave me 13 years of unconditional love, happiness and companionship.
Sammy was a cross breed of a boxer and a hound. Best looking dog in Honolulu, Hawaii. Loved by everyone in our neighborhood. I miss the sound of your bark and howl whenever fire engine sirens blare. My world is so dark and lonely. I don't have any purpose in life without you. I don't fear my own death anymore because if it comes it means I get to be with you.
Oh I miss you so much. Experiencing this kind of pain is unbearable. I have read almost every single letter in this "in memory of" section and it has helped me in coping with the grief and guilt. Talking to my friends who are not pet lovers or pet owners or someone who has not experienced the tragedy of losing their pet is useless. They do not know what I am going through.
Have fun, Sammy, at the Rainbow Bridge. I hope you make a lot of friends up there and remember that I will NEVER forget you so don't forget me when I come searching for you some day.
