Our Sadie
Sadie... she will be missed. A golden retriever that loved everyone, and everyone loved. She was the sweetest, most loyal dog we've ever had. She was always there to greet us at the door, and lived with us as one of the family. So, so smart. Honestly, I thought many times that she was human.
She'd been sick for almost a year, with congestive heart failure and terrible arthritis. It never stopped her from enjoying life. Although her health failed, she never showed signs of giving up.
I wasn't there the day she died, but we loved her for 16 long years. She provided us with much love, joy and happiness. I wish her the best wherever she has gone, and I hope she looks down on us from time to time, and knows how much she'll always be missed.
Sadie, we love you. Goodbye sweetheart.
