Maggie- A Great Yellow Labrador Retriever
Maggie, a very sweet and loving and faithful Labrador Retriever that I had the pleasure to meet last year. She stayed with me at my house over the thanksgiving holiday...she loved the smell of the stuffing aroma coming from the kitchen- she stared at me while I prepared the turkey and trimmings...Her gentle eyes stared at me and I just couldnt resist but give her a treat- a dog treat of course- not the entire bird- although with those eyes- you would want to give her anything she asked for. She had a great sense of humor as she would pass gas when we would watch a movie- she loved to drink water and pace from the kitchen to the living room...very adorable...and she was obedient- when you told her to potty oustide- she did so. :-)
When I came home from the store- she would greet me as if she had not seen me in a year...This dog was no ordinary dog- she was very very sweet and loving and she will be missed dearly. Many people loved her and her mom and dad will miss her dearly as I. I wished I had met her when she was younger- but the week at Thanksgiving gave me enough knowledge to know that this was no ordinary dog. People who do not have dogs or animals have no clue how they touch your lives and add joy beyond what words can actually describe. I am grateful that Maggie lived a very long life- 17 years is incredible and she will me missed forever.
