In memory of Jack, Our time together was too short.
Jack was a long haired male cat. He showed up on my doorstep one evening for some cat food. Day after day he showed up and I fed him. When it became apparent he was not going to leave I took him to the vet. Tests indicated he was FIV positive and could not be brought indoors with my indoor cat. I decided against taking him to the pound because I knew he would be put to sleep, so I got him a dog house for shelter and Jack lived on my deck for over 15 months. Occasionally he would come in, especially after he was neutered but mostly he just stayed on our deck. Just when I thought the elements would not get to him I found him dead on the highway in front of my house. I know not to name the outdoor cats and not to get attached but there was something about him that I could not resist. So Jack ole guy I still miss you. Thanks for the memories.
