We Miss You Poo
Kacie came into our lives in August 1997. She was a Red Merle Australian shepherd with the most beautiful blue eyes. She became our world. We gave up vacations if we couldn't take her with us. She was the love of our life and our best friend. She had a seizure on New Year's Eve of this year. She recovered very well from it but in February she developed a hacking type of cough. We took her back to the doctor and after x-rays of her chest we were told that she had advanced lung cancer. Her lungs were full of it and there was no hope for surgery. At the time she was not in pain but she went down very quickly. We made the heart-breaking decision to let her go with dignity and on Saturday morning, March 15, 2008, dressed in her favorite bandana and carrying her favorite toy, we took her back to the doctor. We both held her as the doctor took her pain away. Her fur was soaked in our tears. We took her home and laid her to rest in a quiet, shaded spot in our yard. She has a beutiful headstone and we tell her every single day how much we love and miss her. She was and will always be our "Poo Bear" RIP in Kacie - July 9, 1997 - March 15, 2008
