Sleeping Luna
Luna was small but acted very big. Luna had a tiny mouth but a huge voice. Luna was very fast. She would chase us around. Mommy couldn't go far without Luna right behind. Sometimes we didn't like Luna sitting by Mommy on the couch. We wanted to sit by Mommy and we'd chased her away.
Luna would steal our small stuffed toys and guard them all day. She loved to sit by us when we ate. Luna would get excited when we dropped food from our trays. Sometimes we dropped our food on purpose and Mommy would scold us.
Luna would go on the boat with us. She would always try to climb on us to see everything. She was too small to swim, but Mommy or Daddy would carry her to the sand. She would chase us and all the other dogs back and forth all day.
One day, Mommy was crying very hard. She was holding Luna in her arms and kissing her. Luna was not barking or chasing us. She was very quiet. Mommy said she was hurt bad. Mommy and Daddy both cried a lot. Mommy showed us Luna wrapped in a pretty blanket and told us she was gone. We said, "No Mommy, Luna sleeping," and went back to play.

To my dearest little girl...I still see you everywhere I go because you did everything with me. You had the loudest voice in our family, and I miss hearing it everyday. I'm so sorry we couldn't have more time together, I'll love and miss you forever.
