george, a beagle
we got him from a shelter when he was about 1 1/2. He was a great family dog, helped raise four kids, saw people marry, die, go to college, have children. remarry, move to a new home. Things changed but George was always a constant. Always loving and accepting, comforting. He had a good life, he deserved it. He passes on in my arms at about 18ys, he is laid to rest in our back yard..still part of the family. His stone reads: George, a good dog...that covers everything.
