MY BEST FRIEND
I posted this on my MySpace back in Nov,14 2008. I just found this website and wanted to share it with the rest of the world.
This is very hard for me, Because I am doing this a day before she passes away. But I am hoping that this may help me. I remember the day like yesterday that I got her. I went to the house that had free puppies to give away. When I got there. The house was a mess. They had kennel outside with red mud everywhere. There were several puppies to pick from. I had picked out a puppy that I said I wanted. When I turned around to leave. I looked down and there she was. Curled in a little ball. Looking at me with those puppy eyes. I said never mind on this one. I want her. When we left and got into the car she automatically ran underneath the seat. When we got home it took me forever to get her out of that dame car. She was so scared. But promised her then I would never let anything happen to her. And I have been fighting to keep her out of a car since. I remember the day she had her first set of puppies. We couldn't find her anywhere. When we did she was under the house. Cory had to take the siding off the Trailer to get to her.And then He started counting 1, 2, 6, 9, and 12. 12 of them bastards. We could not believe it. Since then she has had 1 more set of puppies. She has been shot with a rat gun. For getting into the neighbors chicken houses. She has ran away. I can't count the times. When she was 6 weeks old. She was found underneath my Moms car. In our car wreak in 1996. In 2001 she was neutered. Ever since then she has been a homebody. In August of 2008 we found out that she had cancer. I tried every thing that I could to make her better. But now it is to the point that I have to let her go. It breaks my heart to have to put her down. But I need to think about her. She has been MY VERY BEST FRIEND, My baby, my kid. The one thing that I have managed to keep safe for 12 year. But the hardest thing is letting her go. But I know God will take care of her now..
Macey I love you with all my heart. You have been a joy to have. And I'm going to miss so much.Thank you for being the best dog anyone could ever ask for. Thank you for being My Best Friend. I love you..
