One of the family
VA, was a beloved friend and member of my family. My ex-husband and I rescued VA from a VA medical center in Iron Mountain, Michigan. That is why we named him VA, he lived with us for 13 years, and we assumed he was about 2 when we found him eating out of dumpsters and VERY skinny. Yesterday 08/16/09 at 5PM my son, myself, and our friend and vet decided to put him down, he has had MANY ups and downs within the past few months, and there has been times that the vet has been to the house, and I felt like that was going to be it, but she always cared for him and cured him. This last time, was it we knew it before she came out he had pain, and was not even keeping water down.
VA was a cross between a Springer Spaniel and a Black Lab, he was friendly and fun, and loved our family he got along with my son and the cats, and always liked to be brushed....
VA we love you and miss dearly...
