The below is from a Scammer! Some of the emails may not look like scams, but they all lead to the same thing. The scammer will pay by check (cashier's check/money order) for more then the pet is worth, then they will ask you to send them back the difference in money. A couple weeks later you find out the check was fake and the bank will take it out of your account. This scam can be set up several ways.

Some key points for pointing out a scammer:
1. Doesn't care much about the pet, just the transaction.
2. Says they will use their own shipper.
3. 95% of the scammers are from overseas (Nigeria, Israel, South Africa)
4. Pays you more then the pet is worth, then asks for the difference in money back.

I am interested in your Persian. May I ask why he is being sold at this late age? I have 1 beautiful old smoke-lilac brown persian. He is 16 yrs of age. It's getting close to closure w/him and I am looking for a companion cat for both of us. The cat's temperment sounds fine. I live in a spacious 2 bedroom apt.

My home is a gentle, nonviolent place. My cat(s) is/will be well taken care of. I do not spare anything in giving my cats, the love & attention they need. I have been a persian owner since 1978. My first Persian lived to be 18. He was a beauty of a chinchilla w/an extradordinary temperment. My present cat a bit more high strung, but very loveable and intellegent.

It's a quiet environment w/chamber music & books. My visitors are refined, like-minded people. It's not party-central, IOW! Just very laid back & mellow. My home is professionally cleaned 2 x wk; and that includes the cat's litter space. They eat only what the Vet reccomends. My current cat gets house calls 1xmonth due to a chronic kidney condition common in older cats. He is not infectious.
