Well, Duke (the Beagle I plan on training for obedience/rally-o/agility) is getting fixed on Monday. My aunt & uncle (who live 5 mins away) are dropping him off with his stuff & his crate on Sunday night, and my mom is taking him into the vet's office before she goes to work (her work is like 5 mins away from the vet in town, LOL). So I am nervous as well. In order for him to get his ILP number from the AKC (they lost his papers), he has to be neutered. Then, if her gets an ILP number, he can do anything but conformation, even Junior Showmanship (since they don't judge the dog)! So I am gonig to be a nervous wreck as well. Then, I just go to school Moday & Tuesday, then we get the next 5 days off for Turkey Day break. THEN we are taking Duke down to Yukon, OK (Turkey Day is gonig to be at my cousin's & her hubby's house) and Duke will come with us. Poor him, he won't be able to play with the other pups :( After Turkey Day, I am probably going to keep him for a while to prepare him for beginner's obedience, which starts January 6th. So, that is what I have planned for the next 4 months!!!
It doesn't affect them at all. They still have testosterone in there body. But it will not affect them at all as far as growth and coat goes to have your dog fixed, in fact it is the best thing you can do for your dog. What type of dog do you have?
