if you need help with puppy OR adult dog problems go ahead and ask me. i check this page regularly and will be able to answer your questjon as soon as possible. if you need help with which way to potty train your dog i can help with that. i can also help with madders such as what type of leash your dog should use but if you ask this make sure to say what type of dog you have.
I have just got interested into the cardigan welsh corgi breeds and have been researching on them for a long time. My stepdad and i disscussed about breeding them but we live on a farm and get very busy sometimes! If we do get a puppy what sex should we start out with and do with it before getting another?
since your dog is pretty big a good leash would be the Cord Nylon Dog Leash because it is made for big, strong dogs. Because the leash isnt that pretty another choice would be something like The Grrrip Big Dog Leash which is thick. For a collar on your dog i would pick something that you could hid behind her fur so that her fuzzy appearance is not ruined. Otherwise, for a leash remember that you want to have control of the dog and for that reason i would go with The Grrrip Big Dog Leash.
it wouldnt really madder too much which sex you get first but either way you should have health exams done for both. they need to pass all of them to be a good breading couple. make sure that the 2 get along and that there is no fighting involved. this could be dangerous. also, if you think that one of the 2 dogs are not "breeding material" they probebly arnt and you should think again about what you are about to do. you need to understand though that a not spayed or neutered dog is more aggressive and dies faster.
What difference does my age make? I'm in my 40s if you must know. I specifically said I was not trying to start an argument, I just want to know what makes you qualified as an expert. I do not purport to be an expert on dogs...hence the reason I come to forums such as this to learn.
diamond...you cant expect to come on a forum where pretty much everyone knows the other (due to we are on here so much)and say"im a dog expert, ask me anything" and not have someone ask for your qualifications.I feel that if you are a expert then there should be no problem or"attitude" behind you answering that question.I also am not starting nothing but you automatically fly off the handle with"whats your age,how many dogs have you ever had?" and thats not very professional for an"expert". An expert would be very willing and proud to share their qualifications. You have to remember that this is the internet and you cant really tell much of a person just from typed words on a monitor.
We get quite alot of "fakes" on the forum and people just want to make sure they arent waisting their time with a so called"expert"
***Edited By: bluepitlover on 4/2/2005 6:57:17 PM*** Reason: spelling
Thanks BluePit...you said that much better than I did. The few posts I've read of DiamondHunny's have not offered any new revelations for me...but then I have a hard time getting past all the spelling errors as they instill no confidence in his/her ability in my book....I get paid to edit poor grammar and spelling (and have for the last 20+ yrs), but still would not call myself an expert on the subject.
No prob crestiemom.I didnt see anything wrong with your question except for the response you got, which i found it uncalled for.Like I said a real "expert" wouldn't have got so "snappy" about the ?.She/he should have known it woulda been asked.I like TP and enjoy coming here(even though i dont post often) and Im just tired of reading all the drama lately......we can do without new drama starting.
I wonder if there are really any experts in anything. We are continully learning until we die. People usually don't like know-it-alls and I don't think any of us quilfies as knowing it all. We all come here (I thought) to learn from each other. Hopefully that is what it will be and so many problems will cease. We all have opions and we should respect someone else's even if it doesn't go along with ours. Some of those chips need to fall off shoulders.(NOT BE KNOCKED OFF) but not be so quick to jump on someone for a question or answer. I think its called maturing. I hope I have never offended anyone, if I have I have never meant too. I want to keep a postive and good attitude and hopefully we can make this a good forum to come too.
I noticed that too mafiaprincess...and also on her "potty training thread about how her dog is in its crate for the whole duration while in school(8 hrs) or something to that reference......I just wasnt trying to dig at it.
I was upset at some of the bad advice, and kept correcting stuff, while trying to be nice.. but the many spellign mistakes and then the school reference made it make more sense. Not that younger peopel can't have great advice.. I think shadowdog is very well informed. Just the uninformed advice at random isn't too cool.
