I use it love it and would not use any thing other than solid gold. Last Feb we found out my Doberman had heart disease; we were told we would be lucky to have him for 6 months. I went to the Solid gold store.Luckly the lady who started it “cc” has her main store not even 2 mins from my house. She is amazing how much she knows about dog and dieses and so on. She told me what foods to give Preston as well as other stuff. They have a powder called life extension it’s for dogs that are sick or old. It helps there system keep strong as well as helps an all ready weak dog. Preson lived for 15 moths. We lost him 2 weeks ago; i think if it was not for her food i would have lost him soner. Plus he was a picky eater but loved that food. I also have my puppy on it, when i got him he was in bad shape way under weight as well as anemic. Within 1 week his weight was way up and well as his blood 100% normal. His coat is amazing so shiny and healthy.
Yes i love the solid gold food and will only use it! My cat even has it. They have the green tripe there which is very hard to find.
The wolf cub is good food, that is what my puppy has. My Doberman had the wolf king. You have to add it to the food there allready on little by little. If you go staright to it it will upset them.It will take about a week after there on it 100%. CC the lady at solid gold told to to do it that way.I think because its all natural and has a lot of veggies in is why it can upset them.
That's fine.. but all switches in dog food should take place over a week or 2. It really has nothing to do with the ingredients, or how high or low quality the food is. It says that on the majority of dog food bags even for really crummy food.
I tried the wolf cub for my English Bulldog puppy and he liked it but it gave him horrible, frequent gas. I then switched him back to Nutro. Now I am feeding him Merrick's puppy platter dry and Merrick's canned mixed in every now and then for a special treat. He eats considerably less now and his poop has been decreased in half. The Merrick's is really good stuff. You would not believe their dry food. It actually doesn't smell bad and has whole chunks of peas, carrots, potato, apple and turdcuken (and that's the dry). The canned smells and looks good enough to eat myself.
