i am looking for a shih-poo or teddy bear puppy, just a very small cute and fluffy puppy,i live in green bay, so somewhere nearby would be nice. i don't want to spend a lot of money does anyone know of some where to find one?? thanks
Check your local shelters and rescues. They are loaded with mixed breed dogs that need homes. Have you tried the shelter right in Green Bay? They may be able to recommend someone that has the type of dog you are looking for. Sometimes people don't want to send their dogs to the shelter as they have no control over who adopts them, so they contact the shelter or the vets office and let them know they have a dog that needs a new home.
Have you tried the new animal shelter in Oshkosh? I saw their ad on tv and it looks like they had lots of dogs and puppies there.
i really hope you find a shi-poo if you havent already...make sure you see pictures of the mom and dad before buying....my suggestion is to get a shitzu and a toy poodle...i think thats what my dog is and hes adorable! hes 16 years old and still as active and playful as a puppy (except hes starting to loose his eyesight and hearing)....but still as cute as a puppy!!! really good choice!
Try your local shelters, humane societies etc. Also check your newspaper want ads. We got our Bichon Frise/Westie mix from a want ad in our paper and he is a great pup and he didn't cost us a lot of money. Good luck!
I live in Appleton and just got a teddy bear puppy from people in Gresham (the web site was discussed earlier @ the 17th of this month) I think the whole "Teddy Bear" topic will be debated for a while, but I just wanted a cute, well tempered, nonshedding dog that would be low allergy for my husband. So whatever you want to call her, she is everything I described. She was 750.00 plus tax! But most Shih tzu Bichon mix dogs were similar in price. Even the Shih poos I saw on line at mixedbreedpuppies were 500.00 plus 150.00 shipping, so either way they are expensive. I now the Gresham people still had 2 pups left and more soon to be ready. A breeder in DePere also had a shitzu Bichon mix that would be born next week. Good luck with finding a puppy.
I just bought a Shih-poo two days ago. It's cost was $700.00 plus another $100.00 for the micro-chip. I bought it from a co-worker because they could not afford it... It is a male born in Feburuary and I do not know anything about them. Can someone help? Lost in Omaha...
Wow $100 for a micro chip. Our rescue does it for $25.. Well first off, you will need to get some grooming supplys, slicker brush, shears for trimming hair on the face in between grooms. Both shihztu's and poodles hair never stops growing. Good thing is they don't shed out their hair like other dogs, hair comes out, but typically in the brush. Brushing is required often to avoid mats, no brushing and your groomer will have to shave it bald.
Whoever said you can't buy happiness, must have never owned a dog!!!!!!!!!!!
