I want to teach her some new fun tricks, that will impress my mom. I want to impress my mom, because if it wasn't for her Kismath would be.... My mom would be very impressed if I taught Kismath some cute tricks, and it would be great fun to teach her. She learns pretty quickly as long as food is an incentive. I love teaching her, its just fun.
So, any cute, mostly easy tricks you have, please share:)
I taught mine to give 5 and high five! Everyone thinks its really cute and its really easy to teach. I would recommend clicker training for teaching tricks. Jada learned high 5 in a couple of days. Now I'm teaching her to play dead. Have fun!
My Beagle listens to where we are in the house and knocks on the closest door to be let in. If you ignore her she'll knock harder and then if you still don't open the door she'll back up take a running start and use both paws on the door. You have no chose but to open it.

We taught one of our dogs to give me 5 and high 5 and to dance. We was a small large dog, golden retreiver/collie mix and to dance I would put my arm out in front of me and he would stand on his hind legs and dance with me. That dog would also let you put a treat on his nose and wait for the command ok and then he would flip it in theair a little and catch in his mouth. The dog we have now, Cody, a Bichon Frise/Westie mix does all the basics and he too dances except he dances by standing up on his hind legs and twrils around. He also walks for us on his hind lengs, we haven't been able to teach him to hold the treat on his nose yet, we are working on roll over and he is doing pretty good with catching the treat when commanded to "catch". Good luck and have lots of fun training.
Tricks are cute, but I think what would be more important and more imporessive to your mom would be basic obedience, espcially down and stay. However, I do think that shaking hands would be kind of cute for a first trick and would be easy to teach. Good luck to you both :-)
Oh, good. I'm glad you're teaching her the basic obedience, too. . She is so very lucky that you and your mom found her when you did. I think the fact that your mom let you bring her home is half the battle, too :-) She really is adorable.
Yeah, my mom and I were talking, and we decided that we're to attached to her now to let her go anywhere, so she's a permanent resident here, but I just want to show my mom that it was a good idea to keep her, because she's a smart little thing.
