Let's see... I've had warthog (very tasty!), zebra (not so nice), giraffe, wildebeest, crocodile, springbok, impala, hippo biltong (jerky as you call it), frogs, mopani worms (once you've looked past the worm bit, they're quite nice) and I think the oddest thing of all was the flying fox (a huge orange bat from the Seychelles). If it moves, I chow down!
Oh, I forgot - ostrich features regularly on my menu!

Hi Babu - it was almost like buck. We have a restaurant called Carnivores down the road from us and they specialise in all sorts of bush meat. You can also get the usual lamb, beef, pork & chicken there, but we always keep our appetites intact until the 'wild' stuff comes out!
Oh, I thought a Fruitatarian was someone that only eats fruit that has fallen from the tree or plant, since it has already died. Pulling an apple from a tree is considered murder!
Some people can't eat vegetables. I went about a year not being able to eat lettuce, carrots and a few others, even though I love salad and veggies. I still can't eat celery and have to moderate most other veggies, or else I get killer pain in the jaw.
I don't know if it's strange for you, but , for me it was really strange, and , ughh the thought of it makes my hair stand on end...
Picture this....trip to Egypt, visiting my husband's family...the only thing he stressed as important was to eat the food that was made, because i would offend if i didn't eat it all.....i saw what was on the plate, and it was too small to be chicken...for some stupid reason i HAD TO ASK HIM (before eating it) , baby, what is this?
Aww man, I've been gone this week and just noticed this thread. There are a lot weirder ones than I have had, but my stepfather is a bigtime hunter as well, so I have had a lot of interesting things.
Rattlesnake. I really like rattlesnake for some reason, the meat is really tender. Tastes like the dark meat on turkey.
Bear. I've only had the summer sausage of this, but I couldn't even tell the difference between that and regular summer sausage.
Rocky Mountain Oysters, which as a lot of people know (especially people from Colorado) are cow testicals. They serve these fried at our football and baseball stadiums! Lol
Pigs Feet. EW EW EW! My grandfather bought a can, yes a can, of these when I was little and I tried it. YUCK!
Antelope. Ew as well. VERY gamy I thought.
Deer, rabbit, buffalo and elk. That's pretty common though.
Had squirrel once when I was in a camp and we had to survive a week in the wilderness.
Eel, octapus, squid, shark, frog and turtle. Those were mentioned a lot. I actually like all of those.
Big Horn sheep and Mountain Goat. Gamy like the antelope.
I so agree with the cougar one! It does taste REALLY weird.
Hehe...that comment about being a vegitarian reminded me of a bumper sticker I saw once. It said, If we're not suppose to eat animals, then why are they made out of meat....lol, isn't that just the most redneck way to put it? =P I don't think there is anything wrong with being a vegitarian or eating meat. Whatever works for your lifestyle. I personally don't think I could even go a month without steak, lol.
