trying to hump the cat and also his stuffed animals??? HE was at the vet a few weeks ago and his testicls havent droped yet. Is this normal for a young pup to do this? Oh believe me he is going to get fixed asap but vet told me that 6 months is about the time to do it. There are no other dogs here so no worrys there but does he even know what hes doing?? The cat is alittle scared of him LOL and the kids keep asking why is he doing that? Should i see if i can get him fixed earlier? or is this just normal?? please help, i dont want to call the vet , kinda a embarssing topic i guess. I didnt even know really how to word it on the forum and for days now have been wondering obout this. thanks theresa
Dont worry , Its normal very normal lol..lol.. my dod did this to all his stuff animals. I never stop him b/c I was glad it wasnt my leg. LO..LOL.. Although I had to end up throwing them out b/c he started eating the cotton out of them. In order to keep his mind of them I made sure he had plenty of toys.I even heard after hes netur/ he will still do it but not as bad.
Your puppy is trying ot exert what little dominance he has over stuffed animals and your cats. It's normal dog behavior. Personally I stop my dogs from doing it when they are inside. I don't care if they do it outside, but I don't want them doing it inside the house and to stuffed animals or cats or anything else inside the house.
Neutering may not help this behavior actually, if you let it keep going. Becuase your dog is still going to want to prove his dominance. I've heard of some neutered dogs doing it so much that they've givne them selves infections :P
