As you all know I am soon going to be getting a pug lol. But I just love to research and check out what different breeders have to offer. I saw this one breeder breeds SILVERS, blacks, and Blacks and white. Is that a normal pug color? black and white? I know the white pug is rare and not according to akc standard. I am wanting a black female. The silvers are very pretty too! Also saw some apricots but to me they don't look much different than the fawns. Any information you guys have will help. Just curious.
Quote: not true there imsdac!!!!!!! the pug colors are only black brown tan not appicot & etc. sorry about the erroe you made here
Are you just on here to cause trouble??? Directly from the AKC website:
Color The colors are silver, apricot-fawn, or black. The silver or apricot-fawn colors should be decided so as to make the contrast complete between the color and the trace and the mask.
Markings The markings are clearly defined. The muzzle or mask, ears, moles on cheeks, thumb mark or diamond on forehead, and the back trace should be as black as possible. The mask should be black. The more intense and well defined it is, the better. The trace is a black line extending from the occiput to the tail.
Someone posted a thread with a pic of a white pug the other day, i'll try and find it. Although it is a pug, the breed standard clearly states that the pug must have black markings (unless it's all black).
Hmm... bad quality pic, it's really hard to see. I clicked on the link to the site and I seem to remember that site associated to a scam. I might be wrong, but I can do some research and let you know if I come across anything.
Oh, one more thing, they don't look to be pure pugs. I looked at some of the other pics they had and they looks like pug/BT mixes. If they are pure, they must breed bad lines, because those are the ugliest Pugs i've ever seen... (btw, I love pugs, so i have nothing against the breed)

hhaha Yeah I was just browsing. But the breeder I have been talking to lives in my city and I found her on that website. Her pugs look good, and she offers a 2 year health gurantee, I still need to visit her though. This is hers. I had lpn look at her lines. And she said it was pretty good for pet quality. I dont plan on breeding or showing
