I miss her so much and even though I cannot replace her, I would really love to get another maltipoo. It has been almost 9 months so my home and garden is parvo free and I have used clorox to disinfect. However, I am located in California and cannot find a breeder here. I have searched the internet, and all I am coming up with are out of state sites that ship dogs. Can anyone help me please. Thank you.
Thank you both , the lifeofriley and anothermauri.
I live in the san fernando valley.
Those were great links lifeofriley, but I really want a little female puppy. Those were all lovely dogs and I would love them all...but I just have to have a "little baby" :) I am being very cautious whom I buy from though as I learnt the hard way with my first maltipoo.... Like I have said, it seems like most of the breeders are out of state and ship. To me that just doesn't seem right as I think one would need to see the dog and spend at least half an hour with her. What if a dog was shipped and we just did not click (I know that's hard to imagine with a maltipoo)..or she just didn't like me? :)
I have searched debg, I can find maltese but not maltipoo. I did find a kennel in Bloomington,California (I guess we can't name kennels here can we?) I haven't been there, but they advertise maltipoos on their website and always seem to have dogs available. I just don't want to get caught up again with someone who may be getting dogs from puppy mills. I was going to make the trip there, which I don't mind doing, it would only be about one and a half hours each way.....but sometimes I can be so gullible and conned so easily. I just don't want to go through the heartache again of buying a sick puppy. I miss those puppy kisses all over my face so much!!
Yes I looked at all of the dogs on petfinder and they are ALL adorable, but I really do want a puppy. I have searched the local animal shelters, but they seem to have mainly large dogs. What does everyone here think about buying site unseen from one of the breeders that ship? I can find a lot of maltipoos out there...just not in los angeles. Also I understand that one should see the parents of the puppy you are adopting, but then, how do you know they really are showing you the parents? How do you know for sure they are not from puppy mills? And I really do want a maltipoo, not a maltese. I loved the little maltipoo I had and her disposition was so sweet.
I have found a kennel here in los angeles called amats kennels..... located in Bloomington and they have maltipoos!!!! Does anybody know anything about them? They have quite a few dogs including maltipoos and their website seems legitimate, but like I said, I am being very cautious this time around Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you.
celeste..that is the problem with buying a dog online. You truly don't know if it's a puppy mill or not. They certainly aren't going to advertise themselves as such. If they do have pictures of their facility on their website they are only going to show the best parts of it. I also have an 8 month old Maltese x Poodle that is the sweetest little girl :) Katie http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b122/Keesha63/CopyofCIMG3494.jpg
Celeste....... I think the best thing for you to do, is GO to the breeder's house and meet her, and see where your puppy is raised. Meet the parents as well, and see what Kind of condition her house/kennels are in. That is what we did when we got Mia. (Yorkie/Poodle)
Thank you mommamia, the site is amatskennel.tripod.com/mypuppy/index.html with the www.com in front of course. If am not supposed to name a kennel, I apologise as I am not reall sure of the rules. But Mommamia, if you read this and could take a look at the site and perhaps give me your thoughts I would appreciate it. Thank you.
Keesha...you dog is adorable!!!!!!!!!!!!! she is exactly what I am looking for :) My Bella looked just like her. I am sure she brings you a lot of joy. Do you have any more photos of her? and where did you get her, and how big will she grow? Celeste xx
