this morning I woke up, turned on the comp, went to get some soda (there was none) then walked to Mr pigs cage to give him some food. Mr pig was dead. I didnt know what to do so I squeeked at him thinking maby he was sleeping on his side even though he would alwaus sleep on his belly puffed up like a fluf ball. He didint squeek back. So i called hubby he said he couldnt come home so I called a friend and we burryed him.

I miss mr pig he was such a cool little guy. I though they lived 3 years, Maby he was older then we though???? He was not acting diffrent, he was still eating and drinking fine, As far as i could tell he was a normal happy little pig always talking to us.

He probably just died of old age in his sleep..

no he was a gueneapig. He was such a cool guy to always talking to you loved to give kisses always cuddled. Him and rocky cuddled alot too.
he was always making people laugh, If yo uwalk by him and squeek (i was the only one who could do it right LOL) he would start doing it back real loud, He even licked people.

I dought Ill get another one. he was too cool and I dought I could find another that was close to being as cool as he was.

his real name was sunny but I called him Mr pig one day and it stuck. I think he knew his name If i said Mr pig he would jump up out of a sound sleep and squeek at you loud as he could. Then agin he could ahve accoated that word with being play with 80% of the time when we would say it we were playing with him

Pigs can live to be around eight-but they are very prone to pulmonary embolisms and I'd guess thats probally what happened to him. I had two die last year and that was my only explanation-I watched them die both times and its horrible :(

I'm so sorry about your piggie- I liked his name,mine was mr.piggle.

A blood clot that goes to the lungs.It makes it so they can not get any air. They lay on one side and jsut gasp. A lot seem to die from it but other than making sure they drink,keeping them really hydrated, I have never heard any way to prevent them.

But guinea pigs like other smaller animals don't show any illness untill its to late so it could have been soemthing else that it has had and it jsut wasn't noticed.

when our bunny was dieing I could tell something was major wrong. one day she was totaly fine the next she was kinda mopey so I babyed her all night (not hopping like usual just seemed kinda sad) then the next morning she wouldnt walk at all, and it just got worse from there. She went to the vet they couldnt find anything wrong so he said I didnt feed her I said BS and gave him a list of everything she eats then he said sorry and decited she severed her spine but she could move her legs finaly she had seasure looking things (flop on one side shake and have breathing problems) That was 2 weeks after it all started so we put her down.

I was so shocked to see Mr. Pig dead I mean he acted totaly normal. I know withcritters like that it can be hard to tell but you would think you would notice something if there was something major wrong. I mea everything was normal from his poop and the way he would eat and drink, To his talking and playing. Nothing changed with him I just woke up and he was dead.

Oh well death is just part of life. everything dies sooner or later. Im glad he didnt go through what our bunny went through.

With mine they were perfectly fine and one seconed just gasping and dead in like five ten minutes. Its very possible thats what happened.

Its horrible becausee piggies have such big personalaties and people look at you funny when your all upset over them.

I dont like crying around anyone but my husband so all day I have been making dumb cracks like when we a friend and I were digging a hole for him (he was digging I was standing there like a wad) He set the shovle down and I looked in the hole and felt like crying so i said "I dont think thats gonna be big enough to fit his cage in you have alot more digging to do" Seeing him in shock and almost mad made me laugh. I have major problems doing things around people, Like i can not barf around anyone, Ok i did it one time but hubby had me doing jeager shots so that does not count. I cant cry around people, I cant do anything like that.

pigs are so cool and they are so easy to get attached to i was shocked to see how socal he was. I mean he loved people. Who knew a pig would love people.

Im gonna miss him tons. If it was that blood clot thing Im kinda glad it happend wile I was sleeping If i had seen that I would have totaly freaked out. I get very emo when it comes to animals, Im sad i was not there but at the same time Im glad because If I saw that i wouldnt have been ok at all.

iam hoping it wasnt the blood clots.i hope mr pig went peacefully in his sleep,sorry for your loss monkey.

Awww, that's so sad :'( do you have any pics of it (not of the dead pig, of the pig when it was still living!), and if so, you should post one of those "in memory" things...
