I found a website that gives you a guess for you puppy by ounces. It says take the weight at 6 weeks multiply by 4 and divide by 16. Is this correct? I was wondering if any of you are good at guessing what your pups weight will be. Is it mostly determined by the parents of the pup?

Are you doing this by ounces or pounds? I will try to post a the weight chart if I can. This was on a breeders website for chihuahuas. I am sorry I had it wrong you multiply by 4 and divide by 16 using ounces, not pounds. Tell me if this works for your Rottie now.
No, it still doesn't work. I think it would come pretty close with my pugs though. I didn't weigh them at 6 wks because I didn't breed them, but it seems about right. I think minniyar has it right. Small dogs growth is complete different than the large breeds.
