Here are some more pics, and one of my cat Cleo, can you guess which one she is?LOL The scars are from rough housing with other Ridgebacks, they can be quite aggressive when playing. They are slowly going away though and I think it's because I have him on a very good nutritional supplement.
He is a sweetie and came to me with out any training, he's already learned the basics and has also gotten (mostly) over his fears of everyything. He was in rescue for about 10 months and very limited as to people and sights and sounds of the outside world.
minniyar, you're right Ridgebacks are nery noble, intelligent, sensitive dogs. They will protect their pack to the end but they are not naturally aggresive. I have left Jake with my cat from the day after I got him and he just babies her and watches out for her. His baby "Nibbles" has been with him since the day I brought him home, over 5 weeks ago, and he just nibbles on his baby and sleeps with it. If I take "Nibbles" out of the bedroom, Jake immediately picks it up and puts it back to bed, soooo cute!
