Omg....that made me so sad to see animals treated that way. They are not bad dogs at all...and their no more harmful then mabey a boxer, rotwieler, doberman, mastiff or any other breed born to gaurd or protect....this is just crap!!!
Guarding is not aggression. They are used as guard dogs partly because of their "scary look" and reputation, but as well as their loyalty to their person. They are easily trained as guard dogs because they want to please and will protect the people they love/are trained by if done properly.
He's your friend, your partner, your defender, your dog. You're his life, his love, his leader. He will be faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion
VERY powerfulll and motivating piece *2 paws up* I'm glad to see others who do take this breed and potential family threatning law seriously...
Education and awareness is they only way to stop the bad press about bullies. I am sorry for the, overpublished, bad that make people change their opinion of the breed. However what about the many good?
What type of society are we when we feel that it is easier to punish all; instead of the criminal (the unresponsible owner) along with the dog. As in first incidence that is it jail time and heavy fines. Will that not weed out the bad, could we at least try, or is it easier to kill our family member? I keep stating their HAS TO BE A BETTER WAY.
When we first adopted Lucy even the wind litterally used to scare her, is that the ideal monster? A one eyed little rascal look alike who is pretty much famous in our neighborhood because she loves all; including the maltese down the street and the six yr old (who's mother, by the way, has educated her on how to ask the owner first and then how to approach a dog)
Still an ideal monster? The little one who at the ripe old age of three months was the top in her training class and all she asks for is: *drum roll* a hug and praise (and maybe a piece of cheese from time to time) If that can't be spared I give up... =)

I went to thislink and used half a box of kleenex. My pit Kaos is a rescue. He had been abused, starved for both food, water and attention. He is the most fantastic dog I have ever had. So many people don't understand the breed. The main issue is the owner not the dog. you would think that after he was so abused at such a young age he would be agressive-not ture he is so sweet and loving. I have grand kids and my 5 year old grand daughter wants him because he is so GENTLE with her. She does not like the lab mix because she is so agressive.
"Pit bulls" are one of my top 5 favorite breeds. That video was fantastic. The pictures were tearing me apart. Especially the one where you could see the skull! That's horrible! I hate thinking about what the heartless people do to dogs! Anyway, great video. I will pass it on. =D
