Yes, we got this goodie bag from our greyhound rescue organization (greyt expectations) ... there was a greenie inside. and of course like the idoit that i am i left it on the coffie table. i can't find the greenie... i can't find the plastic wrapper. so i'm assumng that he ate it.
Go outside with him when he poops for the next 24-48. As long as he's pooping normally without straining, there's nothing to worry bout. If he starts straining and nothing comes out, or whimpers as though he's in pain, then you will need to take him to the vet.
Never trust a tall dwarf... he's lying about something.
If you dont see it within 48 hours I would consider just getting an x-ray done to see if anything is in there. Grey'shave such pinched up tummies. I also seen something one time where a plastic squeaker got stuck in a dogs intestines and caused a whole lot of trouble, the owner didnt know about it until emergency surgery had to be called for. An x-ray would just give me a little bit of security. I also have a greyhound only he is an Italian Greyhound, a mini. They are pretty good at hiding things. My mom has one and would hide greenies under pillows, cushions, fake plants, curtains and anything else he coule push around with his nose.
so apparently i didn't give jake enough credit....... he got the greenie out of the plastic wrapper. AND my husband told me after i posted this of course that it was gone before we went to the grocery store.... so that means he did it while we were here!!!!! (uh, we live in a one bedroom apartment) sooo how he did it w/o us knowing is beyond me..... i feel pretty dumb... i swear it was there when we left though, hubbie could be wrong. he's not worried i guess i'm the only one that was! it was in his bed, he was hidding it. sneaky dog!
