I'm sure he likes it but it is terrible food. Canned food averages about 70% water & mostly garbage. Their dry is awful as well. Here is some info on the ingredients in dog food. compare to what you are using. I would hope you are feeding him dry at some point, to help clean his teeth
I work for the company that makes cans for Pedigree dog food and my job is preparing metal to make into cans for different products (including Pedigree). I would never feed Pedigree to any of my animals even though it keeps me in a job that people do buy it.
The other day , I took Jimmy for a walk and I noticed Our super was feeding his dog Pedegree and he gave some to Jimmy and he loved it. Thats why I bought 24 cans of pedegree from Targus I wil tell the super what I found from you all and if he does not care then I can give the cans to him
Riley Vet said hils prescriptios diet i/d and k/d are good for the dog . Jimmy does not have any health issues. He loves K/d more than I/d I asked him last time whether it is ok for Jimmy eats k/d and i/d . He said that is fine
I want to state up front that this isn't intended to be disrespectful or arguementative at all. I for one will be feeding my Bordeaux puppy either Canidae or Solid Gold.
I do have a question though. I have read on another forum that canned food is better than dry. I must say I tend to not believe that. My question though is: If canned is bad because of the water content, then would that mean that people should stop eating fresh chicken, beef, pork, etc; since they also are made up of lots if not mostly water?

I don't think there is anything out there that I have not tried. I am now cooking for mine. I did go buy some Eagle Pack today. They also have canned if thats all your little guy likes. The kibble is small enough to put in their snack ball, so I am going to try to fool them. I always left dry out in case Max needed it. Now he is gone and my little girls need to lose weight, so I am going to try that to get them to eat it and maybe helpf their teeth stay clean. It is about 16.00 for a small bag, but if it is as good as they say, it will be well worth it. Please don't feed Pedigree. Its crap.
We have always gave our dogs pedigree ... and we have never had one problem whatsover... never had to take any of my animals to the vet besides for vaccines.... I dont really trust the scientific diets... you never know what they put in them.... and all the dog food scares now.... But i have no problem with pedigree canned food...
Canned is bad because it ruins teeth and has extra chemicals and preservatives to make it into such a consistency. Kibble is 'better' for teeth and such. The best diet for a dog is fresh meat and vegetables though.
http://www.ashleyspets.com "A dog is not almost human, and I know of no greater insult to the canine race than to describe it as such.
WELL I HAVE 2 NEW PUPS AND I TRIED THE OTHER BRANDS OF FOOD AND THEY WERE NO DIGESTING IT TO WELL. UNTIL I GAVE THEM PEDIGREE CAN FOOD. AND THEY ARE DOING GREAT. OH YEAH I ALSO GIVE THEM PEDIGREE DRY FOOD.
I am giving all the pedigree cans to our building super. He said he has been feeding his lab on Pedegree for a very very long time. he does not want to change it I noticed his dog looses hair a lot .( not sure the food is the reason)
I Remember Jimmy had diaria very long timeback That was the first time he had I/D ( Prescription diet) Vet askedme to mix Kd and ID
He is perfectly ok now .He likes ID and KD .I only have 4 or 5 cans left. I am not going to get any more i/D orK/D from the vet
Ok Then recommend me a good canned food for Jimmy

Hmm a good canned food for a dog. Wellness makes canned food for dogs, as well as Eagle Pack (I feed our cats the cat kind loves it), Innova, Solid Gold, Merrick. All those are much much better than anything you get at a grocery store.
TimberWolf makes an excellent dry but I don't know if they make any canned food. I fed TimberWolf to our cat.
Timberwolf does make a wet food, you can buy it directly from their website. Pheasant & Herbs. I bought a case of it for my dog and he really liked it, he had a few teeth pulled and that's all he was eating for two weeks. It's somewhat expensive but if you don't have a dealer near you, it is shipped for free. It smells VERY good for dog food, but I didn't try it myself :-P
Occasionally it is out of stock, but I see it is available now.
