So I just got home from work and while petting my dog I found a very small, about the size of a pea, lump on her right shoulder. It's under the skin (you can't even tell it's there unless feeling it), doesn't move when touched, and seems to cause no pain. She's a 16 month old basset hound. I'm just wondering if it's something I need to be seriously worried about or if it sounds more like a typical cyst. Thanks for all input!
I took my pup to the vet yesterday for a small lump also, but his was on the left rear and she cut it and tried to squeeze it out, but nothing. After all that she decided that it was scar tissue from something like a puppy tooth or a wire or something poking him there. So yours could be scar tissue from something like a shot or who knows poking her there.
