Every morning Dax (my brindle shepherd mix) and Paulo (my standard poodle rescue) wake me by snuffling around my face. They grin and wag their tails and are just joyous that it's morning and I'm there and that soon they'll be going outside.
I wake up by scratching their ears and kissing their faces. Then I get "nosed" out of the bed, chivvied to my feet, and accompanied to the back door by two silly dogs.
Who needs an alarm clock?
Now, just for fun, does YOUR alarm clock have fur?
I do have a furry sleep-interruptor. But he's not exactly an alarm clock. More like the spouse that gets up for a midnight snack or bathroom break.
Our dog sleeps in bed, under the covers, and usually decides around 2:00AM that it's time to eat, or hurry out the dog door.
And since he sleeps between us, and I'm closer to the door, I usually get walked all over! Not as nice and gentle as sniffing my face. :-P
But when it comes time to get up, I usually have to wake him. And if he's very tired, he'll just stay in bed under the covers after we're already up and starting the day. Sometimes he'll even get into bed before us if we're keeping him up too late.
lol I've always been a horrible sleeper (a good night is 4 to 5hrs) so I end up waking Lu up to go jogging around 5am. Sometimes she will just look at me with her head tilted to one side and then lay back down lol.
I breed mini aussies, so most of mine stay in crates at night. But darn if they don't start shreking around 730am wanting out. My rescue mini poodle, and lab/shar pei mix usually just give me a really cold wet nose under the covers. That will jar just about anyone i think. So yes, my alarm clock has fur and very cold noses lol
all 3 of my dogs sleep in bed with me and hubby and every morning between 4 am and 5 am they have me up needing to go outside, And this is like clock work, never have they let me sleep in a minute over 5 am.. UGHHH'
And the kids get up at 6 so i just stay up and hang out with the dogs, lol
i wish my dog would wake me up! I wake up at 5:30 and Tito looks at me when i call him to come out side with me and he will take over the rest of my bed. I pretty much drag him out of bed so i can feed him and bring him outside before work then he just runs up back to the bed and sleeps untill i get home. THEN hes ready to play! Lazy boy. haha But if i wake up in the middle of the night and he notices he will come over to my face give me a lick and cuddle. Kind of like hes saying its okay! go back to bed. I love my boy!
My dog brutus never wakes me up,its the cat Jeff poking me in the face.Yet he also likes to poke me in the nose with his claw.So yup its got fur and its always been alittle defected,a couple screws missing I think.
Yes, my alarm clock(s) have fur.....however they too only wake me up on the weekends when I have 'over slept'. They only go off during the week if i'm up already and they hear me....they want O U T to go potty and play then to eat and back to sleep!! Usually on the weekends they get me up around 8 or so....guess cuz during the week they know they get up around 6:30...anything past that must seem like noon to them!!!!! Lazy turkeys!!!

It's best to lay completely still in this house and fake sleep if you aren't planning on getting up, especially no eye contact.
If you open your eyes for a second, it's all over. Trampled by a group of wiggling butts, smothered by out of control tongues and cat screams which could be confused with death howls urging to be fed. I also get hit and run over Illini :(
Nope, my alarm clock mostly only has hair on his head. And he's much sexier than the dog. Manson sleeps in his crate BECAUSE he will get up and root around and annoy me at 5a.m. if he's not in the crate. I sleep right through any alarm clock, or it becomes infused into my dreams, so my Love has to reach over and jiggle me a bit.
