my cat lives in the garage (because she likes it out there rather than inside the house) but lately, my mom and i have been noticing that she keeps throwing up so we thought that it had something to do with the garage. we put her inside the house for a few days to see if she would get better. for a few days, she seemed fine, but yesterday mom and i woke up to find that the cat threw up even more than she did when she was in the garage. help? =/
Maybe your cat ate something in the garage and it is making him sick. Maybe he got ahold of a sick mouse or some mouse poison if you have any out there. He could have ate anything being in the garage he could have even licked up some fluid fromthe ground off of a car.
Good luck with the trowing up! Our cat has been regergatating her food for quite some time now. Since the spring 2008 she's started it once in a while, it's progressively gotten worse. We had her to the Vet 4 times since spring. Last visit they did surgery, because we wanted to know what the heck was going on; they found a bowel obstruction of impacted colon. That was cleared out, due to possible hair impacting the feces. She's had her throat checked for obstruction, but nothing seems to work with holding down her food. The vet doesn't know what's wrong with her. All blood test were clear; she's healthy otherwise, but she's losing weight. We are very worried. We will be taking her to another vet who has equipment to scope her esphagus and stomache. An ulcer is another possibility...or a diseased esphagus.
We've changed all foods over and over, she only gets 1 tsp. a food at a time, which she tends to hold it down, most of the time. Any more than a tsp. of wet food and it comes up immediately. She's always been a dry food eater...but that's out of the question now.
If anyone else has had an issue like this, let me know if you found out the problem and cure. Thanks
