I absolutely love telescope eyed goldfish. I bought my first on my 15th birday years ago at Petsmart. They are really the only store that carries them in my area and I hardly ever see them anymore. Have any of your ever purchased fish online? Do they arrive ok? Is it really expensive? I would like to buy a bigger aquarium soon, but if I can't get these fish I really don't see the point.
We have those goldfish at our local grocery store chains like Wal-Mart and Meijer. I wouldnt buy fish at Wal-Mart well at least my local one always has a sign up that says "We are sick" on the fish tanks. I bought feeder fish there once for the alligator and 3 days later the alligator and all the fish were floating on top of the tank with a bunch of white foamy stuff, I went back to Wal-Mart and shure enough the sign was on the feeder fish.
I purchased Sea horses on line, and they arrived fine. I dont care much for goldfish, and never actually look. If you can find a place on line, go for it. just check their guarentee, or ask about fish arriving dead. Good luck
Thank you both! I have seen goldfish for sale online, I was just nervous about going through with it. The advice about checking the guarantee is great. One of the fish I have now is from Walmart and shockingly he has lived almost a year. I don't recommend them either, but I was having trouble finding fancy goldfish anywhere else. I prefer the "calico" variety but settled for a solid "black moor."
