There has to be a vet near you, either call or go in. He/she can answer your question. If he thinks its ok, just a waiting game, I guess. However if there is something wrong, you are going to need help. Don't wait. CALL
Is she digging, pacing, eating food? She is likely in the beginning stages of labor, panting is part of the process. Once she is closer to delivery she will dig, pace, refuse food (sometimes) You will be able to see 'ripples' going down her sides, these are the contractions helping the pups work their way down.
At this point I woul call your vet, let him/her know that she is in the beginning stages of labor and the pups will be making their arrival later today, tonight so they can be ready n case something goes wrong.
Good luck, the above mentioned thread is very helpful as well.
Maybe I'm too late and they already are making their appearances?
People are like slinky's, not really good for much. But its still fun to push them down the stairs.
