We have a 7 year old female retriever/lab mix. We moved from a mobile home to a house. We had to leave our dog alone at the mobile home until we got paid to pay pet deposit. During that week she had accidents at the mobile home. We just brought her home last night. She always falls asleep at my feet when I go to bed. Well, I fell asleep on the couch and woke up an hour ago to the blanket on the couch being wet where Angel, our dog was. I can't tell if it smells like pee. I'm worried that with her pooping and peeing in the mobile home that she'll do it here.
A healthy dog isn't going to pee while sleeping/laying down unless there's an underlying health issue going on there. Is there any chance the blanket was wet because of drool? One of my dogs is a drooling champ, he has his own comforter on the floor and it's always got a wet spot on it in the mornings.
Has she had any accidents that you've noticed in your new place or just the incident with the wet blanket? YOu might want to reinforce good potty habits in the mean time, and get back to the basics, rewarding her when she goes outside, keeping her in the same room with you at all times so she can't go potty elsewhere in the house. I feel like you need more time to determine if there really is a potty problem here, personally.
Never trust a tall dwarf... he's lying about something.
