American Eskimo/sheltie mix or shepherd

I am wondering if anyone has any infromation on these dogs

I am wondering if anyone has any infromation on these dogs. I asked someone who owned a Eskland they called it- the Eskimo and Sheltie mix and it sounded like a great dog. I am thinking about getting one- but they are hard to find information on as well as the dogs themselves are hard to find. I was wondering about the shepherd mix as well since thoes seem easier to find- what are they like?

Since they are a mixed breed you can't tell what they're like really. You can take all the known qualities of both breeds, and you may end up with a cocktail of both , or the dog may look like one breed and act like another. It's hard to predict.

I have a two year old American Eskimo/Sheltie mix, and she is the sweetest dog.

She has a great temperment, a cross between sheltie and eskimo. I previously had a sheltie for 12 years and she passed away. So naturally I wanted another full bred sheltie. However one day while I was at work, my husband and daughter had the eskimo/sheltie mix when I got home.

She is a loyal dog, she doesn't bark like the sheltie - only when someone comes to the door does she bark. This mix is so intelligent, and trains easily. She's crate trained, and just loves me and my husband. It's ashame my husband didn't pick two from the litter - as it would have been nicefor Lucy to have a friend!

I have a male Eskimo- sheltie and he is the best dog ever.They are real easy to train. I now my baby can understand me, it might sound crazy but he'll sit there and talk to me like he is trying to communicate. He is 10 years old and he will be 11 in april. I have been thanking about breeding him. Their life expectancy should be 11-14 years, looking at both dogs. He may still have more life in him then that, he's still a pup at heart.

Hi there,
We have a miniature eskimo/sheltie mix and she is gorgeous! We absolutely love her. She is full size @ 9lbs. She has a great loving and playful temperment and fiercely smart and loyal. If you can find one, get one!

Savanah is my sheltie/american eskimo mix who is now 4 years old. I got her from a pet store ..and had never heard of this breed before, but this 9 wk old pup captured my heart. I have a aussie sheppard a year older and they are just the best buds! Savanah is a honey dog, and everybody wants her. She is very affectionate, very intelligent, extremely well behaved (ok so I do a good job training) and squeals (rowow rowow rowow) when someone comes over (very talkative) will give their knee, elbow, wrist or ankle a love bite (doesnt hurt) to get more attention. It is adorable. Only barks when someone comes to the door, unlike my aussie who barks at everything and everyone, esp fireworks, thunder. (savanah does not)

What a perfect lap dog and companion she is. THE BEST!!!!!!! Get one, you will thank me later.
