Is that the same dog? The first pic definately looks part Am. Cocker, to me anyway. Although, it doesn't look very well bred, if it's a purebred. It's tail doesn't look like it was docked very well either.
Its the same dog. The second picture was the first to shot(3 weeks ago when i got this). And the first picture was shot a week ago. I think its tail is not docked. It seem to be like that because of hair loss near the tail part. This puppy was separated from its mother at early period due to lack of care of mother. As i went through pics in internet, i felt that its not like American(coz American type have much more hair). What do you think?

You can not go by coat. There are 2types of American cockers, the feild and the show. There are also some very heavy coated Eng. cockers. There were originally the same breed. There is not much different about them, and personally you may not see much difference til the pup is an adult. ( I sent you a pm, but saw pics here so ignore it). Anyway, the fact that it's mother didn't feed should not even be noticeable. The dog looks to be badly bred, so a badly bred Eng. could very well resemble an Amer. The coat on the dog doesn't look to be in good shape, as if it has been missing alot of nutrients. The tail is either docked, or a natural bob. It is not a full tail. It does look like it was docked on the longer side, but again you may not notice that until adult hood.
The bigger question is where did you get the dog, and what kind of contract do you have. If the dog was not from a reputable breeder, not Registerable with either AKC or UKC, and/or you do not have a health guarantee, lord only knows what you puchased. Alot of research needs to go into a quality dog, and they are usually not cheap. I always have said, the cheaper the puppy the more you tend to pay in vet bills.
Meadowla,I believe you have a sweet little mixed breed dog there, who looks in dire need of great care, and lots of love. I'd be interested in knowing if you rescued her, or if you purchased her from somebody else. I hope her condition improves quickly, and that the expression on her face brightens soon. What are you feeding her?
I got him from a breeder. He said he got it from a family which brought its parents from him. The pup got a 'c' certificate from Kennel Club of India(He said, its because that the puppy was separated from the parents & Kennel Club authorities want puppy to be near the parents when they come to inspection). It was very weak at the time i brought him. So i took it to a Veterinary Doctor and he prescribed some Vitamin Syrups and asked to give Glucose with Milk. Now i give him Milk + Pedigree Puppy(4 times a day). He is very much active, always running around and playing. Also barks at my other dog- doberman.
