Well my neighbors got a new puppy on Sunday. They were finally able to reach the breeder of Kippur and she happened to have puppies so they went to see them and came home with an 11 week old male. He is absolutely the cutest little thing. He has ginormous ears lol. His ears are just about adult sized golden ears already and they make him look really cute. I brought Scout over there to meet him yesterday and it took her some time to get used to him but then they played like crazy for awhile. It was a little sad yesterday too. It's the first time Scout has been to their house since Kippur got sick and passed away. When my neighbor let her in the house she went looking all around for Kippur. She went into all the bedrooms, sniffing around and spent quite awhile sniffing at his dog bed. My neighbor started crying all over again. Scout didn't understand why Kippur wasn't there. I feel really guilty for not allowing her to say goodbye to him but I thought I was making the right decision not to bring her over there when he was so sick. Hopefully she will accept Ozzy in Kippurs place and learn to love him as much as she did Kip.
Here are some pictures of their meeting yesterday:
He is a cute little guy isn't he? We are going to try and socialize him with all mt guys so that when he gets bigger he will like them all. Kip only liked Scout. She was the love of his life lol. My son thought since he liked Scout, he would be fine with our other dogs so he brought his dog Max over there one day and Kip tried to eat him. One day Kip thought I was walking Scout in the yard and pushed his way out the door to come over and see her. But it was Salty that I had out and when he realized it wasn't Scout a fight ensued and poor Salty wound up at the vet getting her ear stitched up. So I hope that by introducing all of them to him, even though they all won't be going over there for playtime, they can all exist together happily.
