Not as good as the pictures I have yet to develop (I hope). But I added 2 new pictures of Kitty to her website. I had to make them smaller, but you get the idea. Kitty was in the yard enjoying the poop soup that Califonia's 1st seasonal rain made in my yard. http://www.dogster.com/?80922
a nice otter tail. you don't see labs with them very often any more. most have long tails and pointy heads. oh sorry, she looks very cute with the mud all over her face. looks like she was having some fun.
Kitty is going to be a mud wrestler for Halloween. In CA the problem w/ the tails is that they are breeding brushy tails that they call "heavy" in the shows. I say no otter tail, no Lab...They have also altered the shape of feet, eyes and muzzle, all changes which deter from hunting ability...cosmetic changes. I think Kitty will turn out OK...10 mos. is a gorky age, she should pretty up a bit.
I guess this is my own topic to carry on. I wish desert rose or somebody was here to sympathize. We get no rain most of the year. This week I live in a huge puddle. Just stoked up the gas furnace for winter(?) I'm sure all will be well. I love rain. It is so good for the world. I go to sleep hoping that your rain is your sustanance, as well...let it rain...I now need music.
I have bred all my own Labs for generations now. Selecting for soundness, intelligence, temperament and conformation. Look at the pics of my boys...on your left is a menu w/ dogs for sale. My ad has a pedigree attached, says: LABRADORS AKC/OFA/CERF. It links to my web-site, w/ more pics. When I was very young, I was lamenting to a large scale dog breeder that I was worried I could not find somebody who produced dogs as good as the ones that I had, when I would be ready to get another one...She looked surprised & asked why I didn't keep from my own litters. DUH...Since then I keep the best female in the litter for myself. It makes me extra careful what I produce. If it's not good enough for me...I always say I'm like Dr Frankenstein and I'm making the perfect Labrador...
