His wife called me little bit ago and said he is out of a coma now. He is in alot of pain but they are trying to control that. She said he tryed to tell them something but cant because the trac.He still cant move his legs and stuff so they dont know what is going on with that. His infection is getting better slowly but it is getting better. Thanks everyone for your prayers and just hope that he continues to do better.
Bassetmom: I'm so happy that he is out of the coma. Where is he in pain? That alone could of kept him in a coma. Sometimes the human brain will do that so the person does not feel to much because the body at the time can't handle it. I am so happy for everyone. Keep us posted!
He is in pain everywhere . They got his tail bone fixed yesterday and put 1 more stitch in his belly. They cant sew his belly up all at once because they did it last week and it ripped open because he has so much swelling. They did fix his head but had to leave the drain tube in still. They still dont know if he is paralized yet but we just have to keep praying and hope for the best. He use to play for a New Jersey baketball team. the nurses love him to pieces(hes over 6' 6" tall and very handsome guy).
Well, sometimes pain is good. If he is feeling pain at least he is feeling. Things will repair a little at a time. He had a bad accident and things will take time to heal but at least he's on the road to recovery. Are you back to see him soon?
My sister-in-law is flying up there from FL this weekend and we are going up next weekend. We are taking turns. It will be easier next weekend for us because almost all of my puppies will be at there new homes.my sister is taking care of the others when we go up.
That is the best news to hear first thing this morning. I am so happy for you and all. Please keep us posted. How is his family holding up? If I remember correctly didn't you say he was hit by a car? What happened to the person that hit him? Are they being prosecuted? My thoughts and prayers are still with you all. It will take time, but that is wonderful news.
He was hit by a truck. They did catch the guy. He said he would just plead insanity. They have him a a instutue for evaluation. The are chargeing him with attempted murder. The guy said he meant to do it, he is very mean an cold hearted and thats being nice considering what my husband said about him.
Well, not that it's much help, but at least the guy is off the streets. What a d*mn nut case. In a mental institution is better than on the streets. Anyway the most important thing is that your nephew is doing better and I am very glad about that. Keep us posted.
I so glad to hear that your nephew is out of the coma. That is terrible what happened. I hope they find the guy who hit him to be competent to stand trial so that he can get the severest of punishment that he deserves. Was he charged with attemped murder?
That is really wonderful. Can he feel his arms and legs? If the paralysis is due to the head injury, it could very well improve as the swelling in the brain goes down. You didn't mention if he had a spinal cord injury, also. In the absence of any damage to the spinal cord, it sounds like he has a chance of a full recovery. Ill keep praying. Considering how quickly he woke up, (some people are in this kind of coma for weeks), I think he'll do well. So glad to hear some good news.
