Some people do give some back up to things they are saying so I searched for some info on the net for people to read.www.stanleycoren.com read "the intelligence of dogs" The whole page/ Dr.Coren is my hero, some of you will recognise his picture. He used to have a show on tv. He is a highly respected scientist, a proffessor of Phychology and much more.He is a human Phychologist as well.
Haha that is too funny about the border collie and the screen window! It is true, many people aren't prepared to deal with the intelligence of some dogs. I once lived with a friend who had a chow/lab. THe dog was not very smart (and noticibly so) but he was very very eager to please, and thus he was easy to train. I think for many people there's a direct correlation between easy to train and intelligence. I wouldn't consider labs very intelligent, honestly. But they are very very eager to please and eager to train.
