This lady that I sold a pup to (Australian Shepherd) called today and ask if I would take him back.I said yes it's in my contract. She said athere was she was going to take him to the humane society.I ask her why she wanted to give the pup back so said because he chews on things I said so he is being a pup.She is also bring me a nother aussie pup that is 9 weeks old because she chews on thing to. I will let you all know more when the pups get here..
OMG, you're joking, right? What on earth goes thru people's minds? If you don't want a dog that chews...then rescue a senior dog, but by all means, don't get a puppy. Good Lord, I swear common sense is just a thing of the past with many people!!!
thats unbelievable ! all puppies chew . thats why they make these things called chew toys. when my pups get a little off track onto my furniture ,i just give them a little nudge over to their toybox and they get busy again with their toys. sounds like she just doesnt want to be bothered with them. her loss. you're gain
LOL.I know that's why I said so they are being puppies. I rather both come here instad of who know where. The other puppy is related to my dogs she is there niece and she was going to breed the two.I also told her she can not bred the two together about a week ago.She kelp wanting to bring him back here so I can give him his 3 rd shot she called two weekends and never came over so that's whyI thought she was calling about and I was going to tell he to take him to the vets.I don't like wating around for someone that doesn't come or call.I will keep you all posted..

I recently had a couple that called and wanted to know if I'd give them their money back on a puppy, and they wanted to keep her too. They said that she was scared and hid under the furniture and they would have to work with someone on it. I asked several qustions and it lead to the fact that she'd had an accident under the couch, the called her, she came and then they spanked her. I asked them, why on earth would she not be scared to come to you? Why did she have the entire house as freedom for a 9 week old puppy? And do you think she actually knew why you were spanking her? I said I would repossess the puppy and give them a full refund and rehab it here. They said they would talk to their trainer that came weekly and have him call. Well I waited and waited and waited to have a word with this trainer and never heard back from them again. Emailed them recently, but no answer. Wonder if the trainer got the straight story and told them they were to blame. I can't believe people think that a puppy should come already trained and perfect. What fun is a puppy that has it's spirit broken at 9 weeks? It's such a demanding world out there!
Well I told her I am not giving money back just because he chews she said that is fine.I still wating on her to get here. Sometime I get so mad at people. The female pup is out of a bitch that is only a year old. I wounder what people are thinking when they get dogs I know that I will never sell them a nother pup again.YES I have a don't sell to list.
My hubby is at work so I called him to tell him and he said just for chewing I said yep.I understand where you are coming from.I ask alot of questions to before they get a pup but I have found out not eveyone tells the truth.

Praline..I am so glad to see you on lately..i posted a comment to you but CRS has struck and I dont remember where it was that i posted it..I am just happy to see you again...I think it is a good thing to get the pups back..what an idiot..and yes..even with questioning a prespective owner...they can be hip and tell all the right things and lie..I put an ad in for my one shep I want to find a good home for..this lady called and she sounded 70 if she was a day...I asked her questions and she said she was 34, mom of 2 and had a fenced yard...no other dogs..seemed to antisipate the questions i would ask..Well i told her my dog was not free and the price i would let her go for..which is less then half what i paid btw...and she out of no where hung up...i had to laugh...keeping up the line of crap is hard work...lol Let us now if the pups make it...oh...how are the chi pups?
Over the last several years I have gotten better and better and reading whether people are genuine or whether they are telling you what you want to hear - although I do miss some real nut cases once and a while.
We used to just offer to take the dog back and were willing to pay for it until I ran into some one who wanted me to pay them MORE than they had bought the pup for (stating they had incurred costs by way of vet expenses and food and toys). Now our contract reads that we have first option to the dog and can choose whether we want to pay for it or just have them hand it over. We will help them find a home to sell to if we feel like it, and we will let them place the dog with a family member or friend, but it's up to us. I got burned :) and ended up paying almost double to get a pup back once and won't do it again. Before everyone thinks I'm a hard a** - we've only had a handful of folks ever need to rehome their puppy, almost all for good reasons (one lady found out she was pregnant and would require bed rest for the entire pregnancy and didn't think it was fair for her 5 month old puppy to risk being neglected). The last one, we set the family up with someone that wanted to adopt and they got a chance to meet one another so they could both decide if they wanted to have the adoption take place. We didn't make a cent off of it and we knew the puppy was going to a good home.
Anyway - I know what you're going through and commend you for taking on both pups!
lol If she thinks those pups can chew, lmao she ain't seen nothing til she sees how bad a bulldog can be even after it has grown up. Cookie tried to eat on everything but as long as I have her chew bones down for her and correct her when i catch her at it and crate her when I can't watch her all the time, then she is just fine. I swear, some people are so ignorant and do not deserve to have babies like this.
