Four years ago I bought a dog from a lady who is adversting on this site. I bought my dog from her my dog is not a shih tzu he is to big and doesnt have the face of the breed. I love this dog and he is a great dog. But to say the least not happy with the lady its not what i paid for. If you have any doubts email me and i will be happy to share pictures of rudy. NOw rudy did come with papers but he is not a pure breed . Her email address is ********* her name is ******** her ad reads 6 male shih tzu for sale. for pictures of rudy. The vet said he may be lapsho apso but not a shih tzu.

They could be purebred, but not good quality. I know a lady that has a schnauzer stud, that looks nothing like a schnauzer. She could have also crossed it with the laso and used the shih tzu papers. If the stud was DNA'd I would consider a DNA test and if he doesn't match you could turn her into BBB. Is the pup AKC?
It would be nice if you had a link to show the pictures, so maybe somebody with experience will let you know for sure if he is a purebreed.
I think these types of posts are great. Bying a dog is a lifelong commitment and you would want to get all the resources possible for that particular breeder. Maybe somebody right know is looking to buy from this breeder and seeing this post they will investigate more before they commit themselves. I know I would.
Ben: Yes these kinds of post can help, but when you start using names its not good. Thats when the mud slingin starts. Remember just because someone says it doest make it true.
The best way to handle these things is to go to BBB or the registry, the law, courts. If a person is going to buy a pup they should have done homework on the person. I dont think this forum will help any, because you dont have any proof of anything only one persons word against another.
I feel these posts should be done with out names just the experience and warn people what not to do or ask advice on how to correct the problem.
I do understand people are trying to prevent others from getting scammed but what happens is the accused gets a hold of the post and its WAR. Then we have pages and pages of fighting.
We are sorry you bought a dog and got ripped off, but as much fun as it is to have the entire first page of tp full of slanderous arguements, we'd all rather be talkig nabout other things.
The Anna threads took over, the Brook threads took over, and there have been others. Want a nice quiet discusion on recourse, great.. but we can't actually do more than suggest, and writing how terrible a kennel is is going to fuel a fire, not make stuff better. And since the mods have edited it, and have shown they will delete out of control threads of kennel against angry buyers, it sure looks like they agree.
It was mentioned before that giving out names is not to be done, this is slandering those who have not been deemed guilty of anything. Mention your experience, ask if others think it looks pure by posting a pic, but names are not necesarry to be used, it is inappropriate. If the person is guilty of anything , let it be settled in court, with the registry, etc, not name calling and bashing here
I'm glad for these posts. If it wasn't for the Anna's *** post I'd be there right now buying a dog from her. Her business is 10 minutes from my house. I Thank God everyday that I found these threds.I hope nobody has to see their baby dieing. I steer clear when I hear about bad breeders, especially if there are many people out there that all went through the same thing with the same breeder. That's why I look for reference. I lost a dog to Parvo, because of a bad breeder. This sight has taught me alot of things I didn't know about.

Ben, to answer your question.. I edit out any and ALL personal information I come across.
This is an open forum, offered to all of us free of cost by the advertisers on TP. They do NOT need to be placed in the middle of what amounts to a legal situation between buyer and breeder.
If someone has a problem with a breeder and they chose to advertise that fact via the internet, they need to have their own web space for the purpose. The forum is not the place for it. Warn others to care, even menationing a breed and locale would be ok. Listing a breeder's name, kennel name, address, e-mail address and phone number are simply NOT what this forum is here for.
On the other side of the coin, how many would like it if the forum was flooded with BAD BUYER~ BEWARE! giving out all the personal information? Breeders perhaps might like the warning, but this is not the place for it.
Each is responsible for making the effort to check the other out thoroughly before any money or living entity changes hands. IF a problem developes, then they need to use the legal avenues open to them, NOT resort (as has happened recently) to beating each other up on this forum.
These types of threads gets everyone going. Its not good for the site. Look someone already thinks I started this thread, When this is what I posted. ****************** Ok I dont want to add to any fires, we've had enough of these types of post in the past few weeks but......
Im sorry this happened to you. I suggest you contact the registry that your dog is registered and let them know.
She may loose her rights to breed with papers in the future.
People just get out of control on these threads, fingers get pointed, name calling. All the junk we've been seeing in the past few days.
we can still talk about the subject without getting personal. We can talk about what happend and how to fix it. Where to go for help. Things like that.
I was trying to remain nuetral in the subject but I guess thats impossible when these things get started.
Bella and Mafia, you both said and did the right things. My post was in reply to Ben.
He seemd to want either a mod or admin to tell him what both Icy and I have stated quite clearly over the last few days.
The other mods were not the ones on at the time the issue was being handled, Icy and I were. We BOTH warned the posters, edited and then ended up having to delte threads because of this. The original poster DID remove all the personal info about the breeder on her own. I removed the posters private e-mail addey.
beaglecookie my suggestion for you and all others looking to purchase a pup is to go through the breed's club to find reputable breeders in your area, then do your homework and check out the breeders they refer you to.
Actually, for those posting the information about breeer's with whom they have a porblem. An FYI, you might like to read the following, excerpt from the "Lectric Law Library" http://www.lectlaw.com/def/l032.htm
LIBEL - Published material meeting three conditions: The material is defamatory either on its face or indirectly; The defamatory statement is about someone who is identifiable to one or more persons; and, The material must be distributed to someone other than the offended party; i.e. published; distinguished from slander.
Criminal Law. A malicious defamation expressed either in printing or writing or by signs or pictures, tending to blacken the memory of one who is dead, with intent to provoke the living; or the reputation of one who is alive and to expose him to public hatred, contempt or ridicule. It has been defined perhaps with more precision to be a censorious or ridiculous writing, picture or sign, made with a malicious or mischievous intent.
Slander is spoken, Libel is written. It is a criminal offense.
I have done my homework and I am purchasing a puppy at the end of the year. If it wasn't for this website I wouldn't know what things I needed to watch out for and ask. I have two dogs. One from the dog pound and one from a breeder. I Never had any problems. It just seems alittle scary now a days to purchase an animal, because you don't know who to trust after What I've been through losing a puppy to Parvo a week after I purchased her. I also didn't know about puppymills and pet stores. So alot of these threads I read are very helpful with there pros and cons.
