Dusty, I am not trying to be rude to your or anyone. All I meant was if she has a question then ask. No harm in asking a question. If you or anyone else believes she is a troll trying to cause problems then ignore her. She is not breaking any rules by asking her question. It won't kill you to ignore her either. My point is why respond 6 times on this thread and not once did you answer the question.

doggie, when did I call you or anybody uneducated? You know how to copy and paste. I only complained about you because you called glenburns a byb twice in one thread which is clearly against the rules. Your first post was deleted that should have given you a clue.
I don't think telling people to ignore a possible troll is rude. If you think the original poster is a troll, ignore her. Why would you reply 6 times and not answer the question. Get real, what do you plan on accomplishing. Telling the poster to ask questions freely is not rude either. Go right ahead and pick out what I said rudely.
LOving you are doing the same thing you post and post and post but never have answered the op 's question now have you . and nobody but you called the op a troll when everybody here knows you are the troll .

dusty, where did I say violet was a troll? Point it out, you can copy and paste too. I told violet she can ask any questions she may have. You and dusty do not own this website. You cannot dictate to us what questions to ask. If you don't like the question it won't kill you to ignore it and move on. If any of you believe she is a troll, ignore her. Haven't you ever heard of do not feed the troll?
GET OVER IT PEOPLE! People mix toy breeds all the time and the outcomes are adorable. How pathetic are YOU to be sitting on your computer blabing about Mix Breeds, if it bothers you so much, then do not submit yourself to such topics.
Every one of you have absolutely NO right to bad mouth them and the breeders, I agree, $2000 is way too much for a Mix or Purebred but some breeders sell them for under $400. Get over and GET A LIFE. Enjoy your purebreds, stick to them if that is what makes you happy. YOU HAVE YOUR OPINION AND we have ours!

Wow...some people get mad when they dont hear what they want! lol
Adorable does not make anything right! There is a proper way to create new breeds and sorry, as a breeder, I know that these are not the right channels!
It's a fashion statement. I own a poo this and poo that. I totally adore those who adopt their poo-and bless them. But genetically it is not safe concept. I take it you've only seen a few mixes-they are not all adorable-like when you've just added another genetic mix of bad traits to a dog that normally wouldn't have inherited them and the poor puppy and the family are suffering. Good breeders work to get bad traits out-not breed them to another breed to make a fashion statement or popular dog.
Breeding isn't about raising popular anything. It's about what you love and the breed(s) you love.
To each his own. I have a "puggle" yet I do not support breeding mixed dogs. I have a right to voice that opinion. If that disgusts you then I am sorry. Topics like this get heated very often, they always have and Im sure they always will.
Thats great, so you are saying you "are trying to correct the breed". (On purebreds) So let me get this straight, when breeders breed mixes, they don't have to breed one dog to another and look at the outcome and decide whether or not they shold breed those two again. Wow, must be real hard to decide to breed a Lab to another Lab you know the outcome. I have seen MANY mixes, not all of them are cute at all, by any means, but are you saying you get adorable purebreds every time? I have seen many Shih Tzus for exapmle with awful faces. Get over it stick to what you like I never said that was wrong I love purebreds too and own 2 but also I love the mixes.

I have no problem with mixes if they are bred for a reason. For example, I raise Shelties. The Shetland Sheepdog breed was originally created to herd sheep. Tada - a purpose. Now when breeding them as companions, a good breeder knows and understands the traits that were bred into the dogs to get them to be good at their job and well rounded as a breed. You don't mess with those traits, and in fact, you try to highlight them so that you end up with an even more well rounded dog - still good at their JOB. It's the reason Shelties excell at Obedience and Agility as well - because those traits carry over.
Most mixed breed breeders have no GOAL when they breed the two breeds together. If they do - then good for them. I would be more okay with mixed breeds if I saw breeders taking their Labradoodles, breeding them together and trying to perfect a breed - and working with the good traits they get from breeding the two and trying to get rid of the negative ones.
Keep in mind, there will always be both good and bad breeders of both mixed breeds AND pure breds. It's just MUCH harder to find a good mixed breeder because they usually having really grasped the whole concept of breeding. It's about money and cute puppies and less about the dogs. It CAN be about money and cute puppies - but the dogs need to play into the picture as well.
abbylynne I do know what you mean I do know there are many bad mix breeders but it really is toy breed breeders in general. But there are all GREAT mix breeders as well. And take the COCK A POO for example...it is not a reconized breed by the CKC and if you guys knew anything....then you would also know a Bichon Frise is a Maltese breed to a Poodle many years back. OUr vet told us this. Guess NO ONE should buy them huh!!
Thank you to every one who replied to my original question about mixed breeding. The American hairless was so cute. I had no idea that the question would cause so much trouble i have avoided the forum since!! I guess i was naive in thinking that it was undesirable to breed two types of dogs to create another type. I was not thinking of esthetics rather health issues. My own dog took a lot of finding and research. He has come from a reputable breeder but still has some problems IE a loose tendon back leg teeth with a slight overbite all things that could stop him being a breeder!! So thanks for the comments. A little scary though!!
