Are all puggles like this? Please understand I can not exagerate his appetite...his entire motivation and action during the day is to eat. for Example if we left the entire bag of food out he would finish it and still be looking for food.
My puggle is not like that. He usually wont eat in the morning but he will eat more at night. He likes to snack during the day a little. He only eats maybe 3 or 4 cups a day. But he is a big boy, He is about 35 pounds.
I'm a little worried about my puggle now. I just got her Tuesday so I am hoping she is not depressed. She doesn't eat much in the AM...but scarfs down her PM meal...does that make her abnormal? Right now I have her on Iams puppy food...
Does she whine and bark when you leave. I used to be so sad when I left mine every morning but he is a little better with it now. I think my puggle is more like a beagle than a pug, I hate that he barks and whines but he is so sweet and he is getting better now that he is a little older and hopefully it will keep getting better.
She whines a little bit, but she's getting better...and it's only day two of my crate training her. She had been bounced from home to home before I had her so I don't think she was on any sort of schedule. We're working on it now and she's catching on. I you say your puggle is a lot like a beagle...I'm getting the same feeling about my girl. Mostly, though, because I can't seem to keep her from walking with her nose to the ground...she has a phenomenal sense of small...and hearing!!
hey everyone, on Friday i got my puppy Ace and hes the cutest thing ive ever seen. But he has only eatin alittle scence we got him.. im getting alittle worried. Is this normal for a Puggle? please help
Our puggle gets 3/4 cup of food in the am. 1/2 cup in the pm and I add unsalted canned green beans in the PM. Irish gave me that advice, it helps fill him up not out.
Besides the above he gets a treat when he comes in from outside, when he comes, etc. etc. I do watch his weight because per my vet they will put on weight rapidly if you are not careful. Our dog weighs about 28 pds and is full grown.
We give him a lot of rope chew toys. I know thats what helped him teethe and seems to help with his wanting to chew all the time. He has settled down but he is also now 15 months old.
We cannot "free" feed he would eat everything he could. You really should regulate his food, that way you know if he doesn't eat etc.
