Huronbreeze, People can think what they wantbut I am by know means a puppymill!!! If you read my opening when I first signed on you would know that ! My vet comes here once a month! They have the best of everything!! They are not in small cages!! I have 67 acres with which these dogs get to swim in the summer, romp and play there facilities are all heated and air conditioned!! They also get the best care money can buy! My dogs all get frontline top spot(for fleas and ticks) Heartguard once a month for heartworm prevenative. There smallest play yards are two acres, because I need to seperate certian breeds I have 10 two acre play yards! In the summer each play area gets kiddie pools so they can play in the water. With five teenage children they are constantly having attention not only from the kids but from there friends that love to throw balls, play fetch etc. There is not one animal on this place that does not get my own personal attention everyday! Once a month they all get baths, one day a week is put aside for me to Brush, clip or groom anyone that needs it. I am State and Usda certified and get inspected on a regular basis... NOT only did they say I had one of the cleanest facilities that had seen, they also commented on how healthy and happy my dogs are! These are not just breeders these are my babies! And as far as them not wanting to be moms you or anyone IS MORE THAN WELCOME to see for yourself! I wouldnt breed any dog that isn't ready, They arre all vet checked before I ever breed them any the only breed for a short time than they are retiered to the lap of luxery! The money I recieve not only gives me the money to let them have the best but I volunteer at the humane society and to date have placed 49 dogs that would have otherwise been put to sleep! The money I get from the sale of my puppies enables me to do this. At one time or another all my dogs go camping, swimmingor on the boat with us they are very socialized. As a matter of fact (which is on public record) State represenative Rachael Bringer toured my place to show how a clean well run facility should be. So whether you disagree with my having so many pets, thats fine but to label me a puppy mill I take offense to!!!!! I don't advertise on this site I just wanted to talk to other people with the love of animals I have! Anyone is more than welcome as I said to tour my place. NOT TO BUY!!! But to see that most animals would love to join our family!
Countrykennel, if I was closer I would love to come see your dogs and your set up! Especially the Poodles!! If you want to chat about your dogs you can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org I'd love to exchange web sites with you if you have one, you can see my babies and I'd love to see yours!
Hi countrykennel......although it sounds like you have way too many dogs it also sounds like you truely care for them. But that's just my opinion. Sounds like you have quite the set up. Wish I could visit. Anyways, I wish you the best of luck with all those dogs and hope you do find loving home for all the puppies you have :-)
I honestly don't know what to say..... I know she's offended to puppymill but to me that is what it sounds like. If all off what she says is true then a "high class" puppymill (if there is a such thing). 52+ dogs is almost, if not, impossible to spend quality time with eachday, puppies need more than 5 mins. Granted there are "five teenagers" but either way. One day to give them all baths? I have 6 dogs and thats a lot for one day. After giving 3-4 baths i'm out of hot water, so just thinking about giving 52 dogs a bath in one day the last 40+ must have cold baths. Although I know a lot of people will wash their dogs outside with a water hose but personally I think a dog should have a bath just like we do with warm water.
Is there someone close to this person that would be willing to go check out her "kennels"?

I think its outrageous. I'm sure you do your best to care for them, but it sounds like you're pumping out way too many dogs. What are you doing to ensure that only the best are bred. Are they being tested? There's no way you can be breeding for betterment of the breed at that level. How can you even keep track of who is in heat to prevent accidental breedings? It just doesn't jive with me, either. Sorry.
i wondered about the bath thing myself. theres only 24 hours in a day (counting day and night ) and 52 dogs. theres no way you could bathe and groom that many dogs and still have time for anything else. i just cant get past the "some dogs cant wait to be moms" comment. i have never had a dog that ever told me they wanted to be a mom. and if i ever do ,i will be sure to give them the birds and the bees spiel !
I thought I was getting on a site that I could enjoy to talk to people that I could share my love with of my valued pets! And to Stormy03 my dogs don't get bathed with a hose they are in a heated facility with four!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! hOT WATER HEATERS!! tHEY NEVER!!!!, GET BATHED IN COLD WATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i WISH EVERYONE GOOD LUCK ON THIS SITE, but..... i WILL NOT BE BASHED! mY DOGS ARE VERY SPECIAL TO ME AND i KNOW HOW HAPPY THEY ARE SO good luck to everyone and goodbye
"At one time or another all my dogs go camping, swimmingor on the boat with us"
Wow-for 52 dogs to all have their turn camping, swimming, boating.... I wish I could afford to take 52 vacations, long weekends, etc
And by the way-assuming a person sleeps 8 hours a day and has 52 dogs who each get individual attention-that means each dog gets about 18 minutes per day. And that is assuming that this person never eats/cooks/bathes, etc.
And still has time to go camping!!!! (and spend time on line)

******************************************* I would bet not..I see typing but it doesnt add up...there is no way on earth...to do what you claim for 52 dogs on a daily basis...you admitted to cages and kennel systems in other threads...you admit its ok to breed a 2 pound chi and she might be mature enough by 1 year old..nonsence...thats where I draw the line..I see many many newbies coming here and they expect members to give good reasonable information that will help them...not turn them into more byb...or think its ok and safe to breed a 2 pound chi...then when some one disagrees and tell you it is not good to breed first heat..then you claim thats what you meant...no it isnt..you breed the first show of blood...id bet the farm...I would also bet your dogs never get health testing..no cerfs, cardio, petellas...nothing gets tested...your poor dogs get bred no matter what..designer breeds are all a go...what ever will sell...now...i can see that you try to post nicely...but tell me dont you see any thing wrong with what your doing? Are you bettering the breed/breeds..or are you getting any 2 animals together and letting them mate..and capitilising off the poor pups produced...I go after the very best i can...I use TESTED, CERTIFIDED CHAMPIONED Studs...My females ( which I have only 3 shepherd females) most are championed in their own right..or have a heavy champion back ground.and they are tested and certified even thyroid..Why breed more mediorcre....you strive for the very best and you really cant go wrong. I dont see how any animal would love to be part of that managery that you have going..how can they get the attention that each dog needs...the excercise..neutrition and vet care...im sorry to keep ranting the same subject...but I look in my dogs faces daily and we have 6 dogs and 2 pups...and there is no way on Gods green ( white now) earth that i could give quality care to 52 dogs...ours get walked several times daily...played with..trained and given treats. To me it doesnt seem to bother you what is happening...you think its perfectly ok...you think your doing a wonderful job and quite the service to your dogs..wellthere is no way that you can..no way...how can you sell your shepherds ( using them as an example because I breed them too...) and they are not properly socialised...dont live in the house with people and house hold noises...how can you sell them to familes when, I will go out on a limb and say you dont temperment test...and you cant tell with bloodlines who is aggressive, submissive...will the pups be fear biters...are they from high prey drive parents so will they have to worry about the cat getting torn limb from limb...do you make sure they are with their sinbblings while it is important for dog agression later on yet able to imprint with the new home...I dont mean to be negative..or beat a dead horse...but I call them like I see them...and I try to give new people good solid information to hopefully help them...i wont tell them how to run a mill...please...try to do the same...there is plenty as it is
Huronbreeze, This is the last time that I will check the site so there is no need to reply BUT.... If you notice in one of my pictures my shepard IS IN SIDE! BUT... It's so nice to know there is someone out there that acts like GOD! And what a better time of year(CHRISTMAS) then to spred your wings! Unless you can see how my dogs live I don't feel you or anyone else has a reason to judge. But.... You know what thats ok to! I know , and my community knows how special they are to me and with the help of many, many people my dogs live a wonderful life!! I'm sorry you all didn't take the time to realize just how special this place is. But..... Merry Christmas and I will continue to have all the people in my community come and play, visit and enjoy what we have spent years to perfect! Oh and the last thing , When I said they get a bath once a month I also have ten people doing it with me and the kids but I didn't realize I had to explain! Have a wonderful Christmas!
countrykennel - my son has wanted a dog of his own for a very long time. for his graduation ( which is still a few years away ) i was debating on getting him either a chihuahua or a pug. the one chi breeder who is a client of where i work i was thinking of getting one from only breeds for pets and she is no longer breeding anymore but her chis were really sweet and adorable. i dont have a lot of money to spend purchasing another dog but i could give it a really good home . it seems like you really love your dogs and i would be interested in talking more to you about your pups. you can send me an email through my dogster page as i wont put my reg email address on a public forum. look forward to hearing from you about your wonderful puppies =)
