If the girl dropped the dog on purpose, she needs a serious lecture. If her dad won't do it, you should, and don't feel one bit bad about it. Kids need to learn at a young age how to properly handle animals. If vet bills incure, promptly hand them over to her dad.
Poor little dog. Tell the little girl, if she can't play with the dog properly, she isn't allowed to play with him at all. Maybe you will have to put the dog in another room so she knows you are serious.
Some kids can be such brats at times!!!!!!!!! :)

I generally don't have a problem with the dogs and the baby. They've had a few run ins, but they have each other pretty much figured out and try and get along. She only picks them up when we let her. She'll probably have a bunch of dogs, a turtle, a ferret, and all kinds of critters growing up.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. My male was like that, and he's had behavioral problems in the past. He's really shaping up and he'll come sit on anyone's lap and lick up their noses! He's been a little jerk before, but he's a good boy now. He lets the baby pick him up and carry him, it's so funny!
