Chi-Ching - Because we knew he was going to cost us a fortune and my husband says that when he looks at him, all he hears is "$$Chi-Ching$$" :)
Koda - Means Bear, he looks like a bear
Asha - Means 'Life' in Swahili (She was rescued from the shelter)
Cinder - She was always dirty and messy before we broughter her home, she was pretty neglected and so we called her Cinderella - Cinder for short
Bounder - We went and bought a fleetwood Southwind motorhome, but my husband always wanted a Bounder motorhome, we got the cat for free with the Southwind, and so I told my husband that he could still have his Bounder! Of course, it wasn't the same to him, but he still loves the cat anyway!
Tiocy - She was in a litter of 4 kittens, an orange one, and fluffy one, a little runt with a kinked tail, and her. Over time people would say 'let me see the orange one', let me see Panda(the fluffy one), let me see Kinky(the runt) and let me see 'the other cat" Well, after much deliberation, everyone had called her 'the other cat' for so long, we just decided to name her T.O.C. After I moved out and took her with me, we decided that she needed a proper name, but since she already knew her name, we decided to just spell it, so it is Tiocy.
I actually suck at naming animals (I have three dogs: Honey Buddy and Chickey). Usually they become what ever I started calling them when I couldn't think of a real name! But I have one cat named Ruddy. I had named him Root Beer because that is what he smelled like when I found him. Root beer was to long to say so it became "Ruddy"!
Well, we got her in Germany and wanted to give her a German name that was not Schotsie, Gunner or any of the other run of the mill German names for dogs and the first thing she grabbed when we took her to a pet store was a stuffed monkey. So, her name is Affen which is German for "monkey like". The Germans got really irritated at it and that made us love it even more.
salty dog i think is a weird name but she came to us with that name . after her having it for 8 years i didnt think it would be right for us to change it on her.
my son named our guinea pig dozer. my mom had a litter of GSD's and we all loved the biggest male in the litter and had nicknamed him bulldozer because of his size and attitude. since we couldnt have him my son used that name to name his guinea pig.
My newest one was named Fritz but my boys said that was stupid( his new name is kinda stupid to me too!LOL) and wanted to rename him so they had watched Napoleon Dynonite and they named him after that. They said he had the same nappy hair on top of his head! So we call him Nap for short or Nappy and at the moment they've been calling him Na-Poe-Poe and he comes a running so I guess he still knows its him they're calling! Poodles are smart eh!
As most of you know, we have 3 Newfs and 3 black cats.
Dogs: Dozer~my husband named him after a bulldozer, thinking he was going to be a big brute of a dog...well, he's big all right, but his name is fitting because he loves to nap and snore! He also goes by Dozerman, the Doze, and Big boy. His AKC name is Ryandra's Dozer Noir
Deeogee~her name started as a joke because I couldn't think of a name to call her right away. Well, she started to respond to it, and the name stuck. She also goes by Dee, Dee dee, and Deebear. Her AKC name is Forestview's Jade (no choice, already registered)
Lola~This name just came to me when I saw her. Since then, we're constatnly singing the Barry Manilow song "Copa Cabana" and that song by The Kinks that spells out her name. She also goes by Lolabear and Big girl. Her AKC name is Ryandra's Baby Blue Lola Luck
Cats: Ming-na~she looks like a Siamese cat with her head shape. She is also very petite, and when she purrs, she sounds like a bird warbling...very funny. She also goes by Ming-ming, Mingers, and Mingy
Boss:my husband named him; he thinks he's the boss of all the cats. He also likes to tell you when it's time to get up by hopping up on your chest and grooming your face. He also goes by Boss boss, Bossman, and Big cat
Spikus: my little sister named him since I named her stray. He likes to chirp/meaow at you to tell you when he wants things. He also goes by Spike, Chirpy, and Spikus Maximus.
Those are by furbabies' names, I guess they are different than most, but hey, why not!

Bentley because i wanted something that sounded exspensive like a benltey car. ( the only name my husband and me agreed on) and then i have my orange cat named ugg sounds bad but when we got him he was really ugly he didnt look like a normal cat, he has little legs and his nose is long, so my husband was so mad that i brought him home and ugg just stuck, but now he isnt ugly to us and really wasnt all ugly just werid looking i guess (ppl still come over to this day and ask us why our cat has little legs? and say theyve never seen a cat with short legs) But believe me my husband couldnt live with out ugg him and this cat have slept together for 3 years now and my husband cant sleep if ugg isnt with him. Then i have Bella my bunny i have always liked the name and wanted to name one of my daughters that but no one else liked it, so my buuny got the name.
I do perfer real human names for pets, Like when we brought the cats home, I decided on Simon, cause hes white and I kept singing that song from the show, hes a white cat, reminded me of the chaulk he used on the show, and hes a boy. Oliver is the first cat, When he was younger he was always into something, so I guess I was thinking Oliver twist, and at that time he was the only cat we had. Spencer, well I just liked the name, it suits him for some reason. I f I move out I think I may take Oliver and eventually get another cat.
