thats great yorkie ... hopefully he will be caught soon ..... a friend of mine used to work for a vet in that area so she is sorta familiar with the surroundings ..... is this area near the airport ?
I think calling the news is a great idea, i think its great how everyone has come together. Im all the way in california and i have been following this, i have been on line all day waiting for a good result. That dog is one lucky guy to have so many people looking for him, you all are such great people with lots of love
It's not my story to give! Jimmy's Daddy is the owner and the story is his.
If Jimmy isn't home by tonight, I must agree, the news might be a good idea.
I'm keeping my fingers crossed and I have a really good feeling they are going to find him tonight. He isn't too far from where he started and it's getting pretty cool and drizzly up this way. Starting at midnight we're supposed to have torrential rains.
That should keep him from moving around even more. Instinct should tell him to find shelter - I hope it's somebody's front door! Once they call the Police or Shelters in the area he's home free. Everybody in the area has been notified of his escape.
I didn't read the whole post, but I recently read an article about something like this. A new dog daycare opened in an area that was previously dominated by one dog daycare. When the new dog daycare worker took the dogs to the dog park, the owner of the original dog daycare coaxed a dog to her and kidnapped the dog to give the new dog daycare bad press. This was a few years ago, and now the original place is out of business, and I think she's still in jail. I hope they find Jimmy.
Just to offer a little help . When Sadie was on the loose ,unless some one is feeding the dog , a dog can travel up to 30 miles a day. She never stayed in the same area. Sightings of her where about 30 miles apart on different days. Make sure flyers are put up with the dogs picture ,also put missing dog in the paper with the dogs picture and a contact number. It really helps. On the flyers and the paper we put our cell phone numbers as contact numbers. The media is a big help and the radio. We used radio spots here.Remember the dog is scared ,so cornering the dog to catch it ,the dog most likely will run.I hope he makes it home safe and sound.
suggestion: The BEST time to look for missing animals is early early in the morning.....not alot of cars, quiet, they move around during that time. Canvess the area with posters, take posters to local schools...kids see alot when walking to and from school. Contact all vets in the area, and Bond and I mean bond with the animal control people that drive that area. You do have one thing going for you......it is a news story. Call the local paper and see if you can find interest in it. They Did Loose your loved one! They are in the business of pets and this should not happen to another family...don't let it go undone! You were paying for a service! I know you and your family is in a terrible place....do the best you can to find the strenght (sorry spelling) to find him! I belive if you make that store wiggle abit with a story with you holding a pic of the dog in the paper he will be found. My thoughts are with you Dee
I am in Seattle Wa fixed on my computer screen....any up dates? This board is just wonderful..all of you in his area helping him! Hey When he finds him and I just know he will He should print up this board and take his story to the press.....wow! what a story that will make! And hopefully make biz reallllly slow for that pet store owner.. D
